On behalf of the Organizing Committee it is a pleasure to invite you to the 42nd Scand-LAS 2012 Symposium in Norway. The Symposium will take place at Rica Hell Hotel, Hell, not far from Trondheim city 26-29 April 2012 with the title:

HUMAN - ANIMAL INTERACTIONS

The Scand-LAS 2012 symposium will focus on and discuss important aspects of human and animal interactions in animal research as an overall topic. Our program will span a wide range of topics and half day sessions as well as workshops are planned in the following theme:

1. The human-animal bond in the laboratory
2. Assessing animal welfare
3. Skills and training
4. The cost-benefit analyses
5. The physical environment
Part 1: effects on the animals
Part 2: effects on humans
6. Communicating animal research

We have invited keynote lecturers representing each of the scientific topics. For more info, see program

You are invited to submit an abstract for either oral or poster presentation.
